Privacy Policy

Who we are

Battlefeud is operated by Reshard Studios LLC, a limited liability company based in Arizona, United States. This policy covers the Battlefeud service: the website at battlefeud.com, the Battlefeud mobile apps for iOS and Android, and the Battlefeud TV app (together, “the Service”). For any question or request about your data, email us at support@battlefeud.com.

What we collect

• Account information. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. If the provider does not give us an email address, we generate an internal placeholder that cannot receive mail.
• Anonymous play. If you join a game with a code, we create a minimal anonymous account with a random internal identifier. We do not ask for your name or email.
• Session data. Each time you connect, we record your IP address and browser or device information (the user agent). We use this for security and abuse prevention.
• Game content. Topics you submit, custom question sets you create, your guesses, and your game history.
• Error and diagnostic reports. When the Service hits an error or runs slowly, we collect a technical report of what went wrong: the page it happened on, the sequence of technical events leading up to it, and your browser or device information. For a small sample of visits, and when an error occurs, we also capture a visual replay of the session to help us reproduce the problem — replays mask everything you type and the images on the page. These reports are not linked to your name, email, or account.
• Billing. Payments are processed by Stripe. We store your subscription status and Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. Your card number never touches our servers.

Cookies

We use only cookies that are strictly necessary to run the Service: a session cookie that keeps you signed in, a short-lived cookie used to secure the sign-in redirect, and a small preference cookie that remembers whether you dismissed our announcement banner. We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any cross-site tracking, and we do not sell or share your personal information. If that ever changes, we will update this policy first.

How we use your information

We use the information above to run games, to generate question content with AI (see the next section), to operate paid subscriptions, to find and fix errors, and to keep the Service secure. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build behavioral profiles about you.

Services we share data with

We use a small number of third-party providers to operate the Service. Each receives only what its job requires:

• Google — sign-in.
• Meta (Facebook) — sign-in.
• Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions.
• OpenAI — topics you submit are sent to OpenAI to validate them and to generate questions and ranked answers.
• ElevenLabs — question text is converted to audio narration.
• Vercel — storage of generated game assets (such as audio files).
• Render — hosting of the Service, in the United States.
• Sentry — error monitoring. The error reports and masked session replays described above are processed by Sentry so we can find and fix problems with the Service.
• Resend — email delivery. Invitation and account emails, including the recipient’s email address, are sent through Resend.

Retention and deletion

Sessions expire automatically. Your game content is kept while your account exists. To request deletion of your account and data, email support@battlefeud.com — we currently fulfill deletion requests manually and will confirm when it is done. See our Delete Your Data page for the full process.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and you can request that we delete it. Send either request to support@battlefeud.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has used the Service, contact us at support@battlefeud.com and we will delete the associated data.

Where your data lives

The Service is operated from the United States, and the servers and databases we run are located there. Some of the providers listed above, such as Google, Meta, and Stripe, are global companies and may process information in other countries under their own privacy policies. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to the United States.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will announce it in the Service before it takes effect.
